Jackson Barrett

Lieutenant Jackson Barrett serves the agency as the First Response program coordinator and EMS liaison. Lieutenant Barrett is also a member of the Board of Directors. Lieutenant Barrett started his career in emergency services at the age of 15 as a Junior Member with Surgoinsville Fire Department, where he is still a member to this day. From there, Lieutenant Barrett went on to join several other fire departments, such as the Goshen Valley Fire Department and the Carter’s Valley Fire Department. Lieutenant Barrett aspired to pursue a career in Prehospital Emergency Medicine as he enjoyed helping patients during their times of need. Lieutenant Barrett started as a full-time employee with Hawkins County EMS, where he served as an Advanced EMT on the ambulance. Lieutenant Barrett currently serves full-time as a Paramedic with Sullivan County EMS in their primary 911 division.
