Lieutenant Mitch Walker is a highly dedicated and experienced member of the Church Hill Rescue Squad, where he proudly serves as both Assistant Training Officer and Safety Officer. With a passion for service and a deep commitment to emergency response excellence, Lieutenant Walker plays a key role in ensuring that squad personnel are not only well-prepared for a wide range of rescue scenarios but also operate safely in all conditions.

In his role as Assistant Training Officer, Lieutenant Walker helps design and deliver training programs that keep Church Hill Rescue Squad members sharp, skilled, and compliant with the latest standards in emergency response. As the agency’s Safety Officer, he is responsible for monitoring operations and ensuring that all members follow best practices to protect themselves and others during missions. His steady leadership and attention to detail help foster a culture of preparedness and professionalism within the squad.

In addition to his work with the rescue squad, Lieutenant Walker serves as the Fire Chief for the Town of Mount Carmel Fire Department, where he brings the same level of commitment and leadership to fire suppression and public safety to the Mount Carmel community.

Mitch holds numerous advanced certifications in both technical rescue and fire suppression, reflecting his comprehensive knowledge and capability in high-risk emergency environments. Whether it’s managing a hazardous materials incident, coordinating a rope rescue, or leading a fire attack, Mitch combines expertise with calm, decisive action.
